The application of fluorosilicone oil in the automotive industry mainly relies on its high and low temperature resistance, oil resistance, solvent resistance, low surface tension and chemical stability. The specific application scenarios include:

1. Lubrication and protection of key sealing components
‌Engine system‌: Fluorosilicone grease is used for lubrication and sealing of engine bearings, crankshaft oil seals and valve stem oil seals. It can maintain stable performance at extreme temperatures of -68℃ to 232℃, effectively resist fuel and oil corrosion, and extend the life of parts.
‌Window rail lubrication‌: As the core component of window lubricants, fluorosilicone oil reduces the friction coefficient between glass and sealing strips, reduces noise and wear, and delays aging and cracking of sealing strips.

2. Manufacturing of high-performance sealing materials
‌Fluorosilicone rubber preparation‌: Fluorosilicone oil is a key raw material for liquid fluorosilicone rubber, which is used to produce high temperature and oil resistant parts such as turbocharger pipes, engine diaphragms, and oil seals. This type of rubber remains elastic under high temperature and high pressure environments to ensure the reliability of power system sealing.
‌Structural control agent‌: In the processing of fluorosilicone rubber, fluorosilicone oil is used as a structural control agent to prevent the rubber from hardening during storage and ensure the stability of the product process.

3. Coatings and surface treatment additives
‌Sealing coating modification‌: Methyl fluorosilicone oil is added to automotive sealing coatings to enhance the coating's hydrophobicity, antifouling and flexibility, and improve the adhesion of vibration parts such as the engine compartment.
‌Car paint durability improvement‌: Fluorosilane coupling agents are used in car paint formulations to significantly improve weather resistance (such as 50% increase in weathering test duration) by strengthening the bonding between the coating and the metal substrate.

4. Special applications for new energy vehicles
‌Battery and electronic protection‌: Low-viscosity fluorosilicone oil is used to prepare fluorosilicone potting glue to provide insulation, moisture resistance and chemical corrosion resistance for electronic components such as battery management systems and sensors.
‌Lightweight material auxiliary‌: As a release agent, it is used in the molding of composite parts to ensure efficient demolding of complex structural parts and a smooth surface, supporting the development of lightweight vehicles.
