Application of fluorosilicone oil in composite materials

Fluorosilicone oil is mainly used in the following directions in the field of composite materials due to its high and low temperature resistance (-60~250℃), chemical corrosion resistance, low surface tension (20-25mN/m) and excellent electrical insulation.

1. Polymer-based composite materials
‌Enhanced rubber performance‌

‌Liquid fluorosilicone rubber‌: As a key raw material, it is used to prepare oil-resistant, heat-resistant and chemical-resistant seals (such as rocket propellant tank seals and aviation fuel system seals) to improve reliability in extreme environments.
‌Fuel tank seals and fuel oil hoses‌: Oil-resistant hoses and sealing materials are made through composite processing, which are suitable for long-term contact with fuel oil environments of petrochemical equipment.
‌Optimize vulcanization process‌

As an active diluent for platinum vulcanization system, it adjusts the viscosity of fluorosilicone rubber and improves the vulcanization efficiency and mechanical properties of finished products.

2. Functional coatings and packaging materials
Anti-corrosion and protective coatings
Anti-corrosion of chemical equipment: Compounded with fluorosilicone resin to form a polymer anti-corrosion glue, used for ships, chemical pipelines and other protective layers resistant to strong acid and alkali environments.
Anti-fouling release coating: Low-viscosity fluorosilicone oil is used to prepare release agents for composite molding demolding (such as special rubber and plastic products) to improve surface finish.
Electronic packaging materials
Fluorosilicone potting glue: Protects electronic components such as integrated circuits and sensors, and has insulation, weather resistance, moisture and dustproof functions.

3. Lubricating composite materials
Special grease
As a base oil thickener to prepare grease, it is suitable for extreme temperature zones (-60~250℃) and high-speed scenes such as precision machinery (such as watch bearings) and aerospace bearings.
Provide high-temperature stable lubrication in equipment such as vacuum pumps and laser printers.

Fluorosilicone grease is used for oil-resistant rubber seals (such as O-rings in automobile fuel systems) to prevent solvent swelling and extend life
