In English novel coronavirus pneumonia, Yu Fanying, the honorary chairman of the school board of Nanjing University and the executive director of the foundation, donated a batch of disinfection and sterilization facilities to our school to help prevent and control the new crown pneumonia.
In her letter, Ms. Yu Fanying said that she has been with us for many years, and she believes that in terms of epidemic prevention and control, NTU will be able to shoulder the mission of this era, win the war of epidemic prevention, ensure the safety and health of teachers and students, share weal and woe with the country, and lay a new foundation for a solid future. To help create a clean and healthy campus environment, the Chinese English Education Foundation donated 70 sterilization and sterilization equipment to Nanjing University, 1080 bottles of bactericidal spray and 20 matching electrolytes. The above donation materials are being delivered to our school continuously. All kinds of equipment will be installed in the public area of our school in the near future for self-protection of teachers and students.
It is reported that the foundation was founded by Yu Jizhong, an outstanding alumnus of our university and chairman of Taiwan's China times. It aims to help our alma mater improve its academic level and strengthen international and Cross-Strait Academic exchanges. So far, it has supported more than 50 southern university students to visit and study in world-class universities.
In 1999, Mr. Yu Jizhong and his wife, Ms. Cai Yuhui, donated money to build "Yuhui building" in Pukou campus; in 2009, the basic experimental building in Xianlin Campus of our university was officially named "Jizhong building". In recent years, Nanjing University has maintained continuous communication and good interaction with the Chinese English education foundation. Ms. Yu Fanying, the executive director, has visited our university for many times to continue to support the development of the school running cause of Nanjing University.
