Silicone weather-resistant coatings show excellent color retention ability in outdoor facilities. Its core advantage comes from the combined effect of molecular structure characteristics and weather resistance:
1. Anti-aging mechanism at the molecular level
The main chain of silicone resin is composed of Si-O bonds with high bond energy (444 kJ/mol), which is much higher than the C-C bonds (347 kJ/mol) in traditional coatings. This structure can efficiently absorb ultraviolet rays and convert them into heat energy release, blocking the light aging reaction from the source. At the same time, the stability of the Si-O-Si skeleton gives the coating excellent chemical inertness and can resist environmental corrosion such as acid rain and salt spray.
2. Performance enhancement of modification technology
Through polyester or epoxy modification, the coating expands the application scenarios while maintaining color stability:
Low-temperature toughness: After modification, it can maintain flexibility in an environment of -80℃, avoiding fading caused by low-temperature cracking;
High-temperature protection: Aluminum powder enhanced high-temperature resistance reaches 700℃, and the high-temperature color change range is controllable (only slight color change at 800℃/24h);
Composite protection system: Used in combination with inorganic materials (such as steel structure fireproof coating), taking into account both fire resistance and color durability.
