On Saturday, Canada's worst shooting in 30 years, a man posing as a police officer shot and killed at random on the street, killing at least 16 people and injuring dozens of others, including a female police officer, who was killed in a shootout with the police.
A 30-year-old woman was one of the wounded. She was very lucky. A bullet directly hit her heart, and was miraculously blocked by the silicone implants. Finally, the silicone was damaged, and she picked up a life.
According to the Canadian sage journal, the woman underwent surgery at the McLean clinic in Western saga, Ontario, where emergency doctors removed silicone implants from her chest.
The woman told the doctor at the time that she was shot in the street and felt scalding and pain in her chest and bleeding, but the whole person was not seriously injured.
The doctor took an X-ray of her, which showed a bullet embedded in her silicone prosthesis.
So, the doctor took out her silicone prosthesis and saw that the bullet had passed through the whole prosthesis, which was a little bit less than the damage. If the power of the bullet was more powerful, it would directly penetrate the prosthesis and shoot it into the heart.
The doctor took the bullet out of the prosthesis and gave it to the police. The doctor examined the woman's body and found that she was not injured except for a slight rib fracture.
Unfortunately, "the implants saved lives, for the first time in our study." Dr Giancarlo McEvenue of the clinic said.
