According to the guidance of 7 departments including the national health and Family Planning Commission on the establishment of standardized training system for resident doctors (Guo Wei Ke Jiao Fa [2013] No. 56), the master's class of professional degree of stomatological resident training and the same academic capacity of the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Nanjing University Medical College (Nanjing stomatological hospital) in 2020 officially began to recruit students.
Introduction to the college and base
The stomatology major of Nanjing University Medical College is a double first-class and high-level comprehensive university medical major, which is a national key construction. It has a solid foundation of humanities education, and has multi-level stomatology professional training qualifications of undergraduate, master and doctor. It is a key (cultivation) discipline in the 13th five year plan of Jiangsu Province. Our hospital is the largest three-level first-class stomatological hospital in East China with the advantages of Clinical Stomatology, integrating medical treatment, teaching and scientific research. It has a building area of more than 50000 square meters and a modern clinical skill simulation training center. Our hospital has carried out resident training for more than 20 years. In 2018, oral and maxillofacial surgery became the first batch of pilot bases for training of national specialized physicians. At present, there are more than 130 resident training instructors, including more than 50 professional master degree instructors.
As the first batch of national level resident standardized training bases in China, our hospital has sound system and standardized management, ranking first in the annual evaluation of training quality of national level training bases in Jiangsu Province over the years. In 2017 and 2018, in the selection of resident training base of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the teachers of our hospital won the titles of director of national excellent resident training base and excellent teaching teacher respectively. In recent years, the training of residents in China stomatology association has been among the best in the resident skill competition. The teaching achievements won many national patents, the first prize of provincial teaching reform achievements, and the silver medal of the 46th Geneva International Invention Exhibition. The teachers of the base jointly compiled and published the set of instruction book for the training of stomatological residents in the people's Health Publishing House and Southeast University Medical Publishing House, and the two-way integration training series of teaching materials for residents and graduate students with professional degrees.
The base adheres to the policy of homogenization of training residents and master's degree students in the same program, in the same classroom and in the same tune. Guided by the clinical competence, the aim is to cultivate the dental professionals with both scientific research and clinical excellence.
Training features
1. The standardized training of residents and the homogenization of professional degree postgraduate training. Residents and master's degree students can be trained simultaneously in curriculum, clinical and scientific research. It includes clinical simulation skills training based on standardized patients, clinical case teaching based on evidence-based medicine and characteristic courses of clinical doctor-patient communication education based on medical humanities. At the time of completion of the training, we will pass the corresponding examination and thesis defense, obtain "qualification certificate of practicing physician" and "qualification certificate of standardized training of resident physician". At the same time, we can apply for master's degree in stomatology, and realize the "integration of three certificates"
2. Training oriented by clinical competence. The base takes clinical medicine as its advantage and has a history of 70 years. It is famous for its strict and standardized clinical training. There is a perfect "one person one tutor" system in the training of resident doctors. A complete clinical practice training system has been established from admission, training to admission. It has its own characteristics in multi-directional training such as humanistic foundation, professional quality and professional ability.
3. Clinical research and training centered on clinical cases. With evidence-based medicine as the guide, clinical case study as the core, the comprehensive analysis ability, multi-disciplinary team learning ability and clinical research ability based on general practice of students should be cultivated.
Training direction and years
The base includes seven training directions of stomatologists in general dentistry, Stomatology, maxillofacial surgery, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral and maxillofacial imaging, and oral pathology.
The standardized training time for resident doctors is: 3 years for undergraduate and Science degree, 2 years for professional degree and 1 year for professional degree and doctor.
The training of residents with bachelor's degree is in line with the training of graduate students with the same academic ability of Nanjing University, and they enter the master's degree class with the same academic ability.
Enrollment target
Fresh or former graduates of Stomatology major from all provinces and autonomous regions in China have bachelor degree or above in stomatology and Bachelor degree or above.
Training guarantee measures
1. The files and personnel relationship of the training trainees entrusted by the unit are still in the unit where they work, and they participate in the standardized training as "entrusted training trainees". The salary and welfare benefits shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant policies of the state, and the working years shall be calculated continuously.
2. The unemployed graduates enter the standardized training of the base as "trainees". Those who have completed the standardized training and assessment of resident doctors can be employed freely. During the training, the hospital signed a "training contract" with the trainees in accordance with the national regulations, and the trainees received various post allowances and benefits in accordance with the regulations.
Training assessment measures
During the training period, the residents shall complete the training contents as required, pass the oral clinical level examination organized by the base and the national resident standardized training completion examination organized by the health and Family Planning Commission of Jiangsu Province. After passing the training and examination, the national resident standardized training certificate was obtained. The master's degree in stomatology can be obtained by passing the required course examination, thesis defense and national required examination. During the training period, the base shall assist in signing up for the qualification examination of medical practitioners and obtain the qualification certificate of medical practitioners through the examination.
Enrollment scale
In 2020, 30-40 resident training students will be enrolled.
Application and admission procedures
1. Registration time: April 10, 2020 to May 30, 2020.
2. Registration procedure:
Students fill in and submit the application materials to the Education Department of the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Nanjing University Medical College. The application materials are as follows:
1) Application form (click "read the original" at the end of the article to download it on the official website of Nanjing stomatological hospital)
2) Materials to be submitted by the trainees entrusted by the company: resume, copy of graduation certificate and degree certificate, company recommendation letter, copy of English grade examination report card and other copies of award certificates. A doctor who has worked for more than 2 years shall submit a copy of the qualification certificate of a licensed doctor.
3) Materials to be submitted by the graduates: resume, employment recommendation form, copy of academic degree certificate (or graduation certificate issued by the school), copy of English level examination report card and other copies of award certificates.
3. Recruitment assessment: including material review, theoretical examination and interview. The application materials shall be reviewed before June 10, and the trainees shall be informed to take the theoretical examination and interview. See the examination notice for the specific time and place.
