Nanjing University (Suzhou) High Tech Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) was established in July 2009 in Suzhou Industrial Park, which is jointly built by Nanjing University and Suzhou Industrial Park. Looking back on the ten-year development process, the High Tech Institute has blazed a unique path in the cooperation of production, teaching and research, and achieved a new situation of win-win development of the school, local, enterprise and team.
Build a high-level scientific research platform to realize the sustainable development of industry university research cooperation
Cooperation mechanism is the key to the success of industry university research cooperation. Therefore, at the beginning of its establishment, on the basis of investigation and research, according to the excellent innovation and entrepreneurship environment of Suzhou Industrial Park and the superior conditions of production, learning and research of Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation Zone, the new mode of production, learning and research cooperation with the construction of high-level scientific research platform as the core was formulated. In the first mock exam, the platform is a bridge linking schools and industries. It is neither a basic research platform in the school nor a technological R & D department in the enterprise, but a high level R & D platform with advanced technology R & D conditions. In order to ensure the sustainability of the operation of such a research platform, the High Tech Institute has changed the previous mode of independent management and operation of the R & D platform by various production, teaching and research institutions, but has relied on relevant enterprises to operate it. Such changes have greatly accelerated the transformation of the scientific and technological achievements of the school, improved the training of applied talents of the school, and ensured the sustainable development of the high-level research platform 。
The practice in the past ten years shows that such a mode of cooperation is successful. For example, the Nanzhi industry university research platform of the High Tech Institute, which takes Suzhou key laboratory as the scientific and technological research platform and relies on enterprise management, has effectively transformed the research and development achievements of Professor Shi Bin's team of Nanjing University through the platform, realized the whole process innovation from basic research - core technology - hardware equipment - system integration - Achievement Transformation - engineering application, and formed a new Technology industry chain. At present, the achievements have been applied in more than 60 units and more than 500 geological engineering projects in China. The patented products have been exported to the United Kingdom, the United States and other countries, solving many monitoring problems in major national engineering projects such as the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, the Three Gorges Reservoir area, the Qinghai Tibet railway, the Lianghuai coal mine, Jinping power station, the gangzhuwan bridge, the Forbidden City wall, etc., and achieving good social and economic benefits. Relevant achievements won the first prize of technology invention of the Ministry of education in 2017, the first prize of national science and technology progress in 2018, the gold medal of Geneva International Invention Exhibition in 2019 and the new material award of China Industry Expo, etc. It has achieved a win-win situation for schools, local governments, enterprises and R & D teams.
At present, the High Tech Institute is promoting this mode of industry university research cooperation, and building a "land perception and intelligent disaster control industry university research innovation base". In the near future, according to the relevant requirements of Nanjing University, there will be 3-4 production university research platforms with the same model established to create a production university research innovation base with the characteristics of Nanjing University.
Building applied talents training base to provide practice base for the development of engineering discipline of Nanjing University
In accordance with the construction requirements of Nanjing University's professional degree graduate demonstration practice base, relying on the Jiangsu graduate workstation of the High Tech Institute, the High Tech Institute has built the first professional degree graduate demonstration practice base in Suzhou area of Nanjing University, and carried out relevant research projects. More than 80 graduate students have been jointly cultivated. Every year, there are more than 400 postgraduates who practice in the High Tech Institute, which greatly improves the practical work ability of postgraduates. In view of the outstanding contributions to the cultivation of postgraduates, in 2018, the High Tech Institute was awarded the title of "excellent postgraduates workstation of Jiangsu Province". Jiangsu lvwei Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Gaia Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. also approved the establishment of Jiangsu graduate workstation.
At present, the High Tech Institute is the Suzhou sub base of the national innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration base of Nanjing University, the university student practice base of the national innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration base of Nanjing University, and the "professional degree postgraduate training demonstration practice base" of Nanjing University, etc., which has become an important characteristic base for innovative talents training of Nanjing University.
Since 2020, with the strong support of Graduate School of Nanjing University and School of Geoscience and engineering, the High Tech Institute will recruit full-time professional degree graduates in geological engineering, which will contribute to the "double first class" construction of Nanjing University.
Give full play to the advantages of Nantah and make new contributions to local construction
Over the past decade, the High Tech Institute has actively promoted the transformation of achievements and served local construction. It has undertaken 82 provincial and municipal projects, applied for 90 invention patents in total, introduced more than 20 high-tech enterprises transformed by the achievements of Nanjing University teachers or alumni, with an enterprise output value of about 250 million yuan, a total registered capital of more than 210 million yuan, profits and taxes of about 90 million yuan, and increased employment for more than 600 local people in Suzhou. At present, these enterprises have applied for nearly 200 patents, including more than 70 authorizations, which has improved the influence and reputation of the school / discipline.
At present, the High Tech Institute has closely cooperated with Suzhou Graduate School of Nanjing University, Suzhou Alumni Association of Nanjing University and Suzhou alumni chamber of Commerce of Nanjing University, gathered a number of alumni enterprises in the Institute, formed a certain scale industrial cluster, and jointly developed a number of patented technologies and innovative achievements. In the key development fields of biomedicine, nanotechnology, information and photoelectric sensing, ecology and environmental protection, relying on patented products and innovative achievements, we will realize the engineering, commercialization and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. Nanotechnology is represented by Suzhou xinruibo nanotechnology Co., Ltd., Huasen Xinke (Suzhou) nanotechnology Co., Ltd., Suzhou Yuhao nano materials Co., Ltd., Suzhou Yuanzheng hot volt Co., Ltd., etc. Information and photoelectric sensor are represented by Suzhou Nanzhi Sensor Technology Co., Ltd., anpuluo (Suzhou) communication technology Co., Ltd. and Suzhou Huili Instrument Co., Ltd. Represented by Jiangsu lvwei Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. (with a registered capital of 60 million), Jiangsu Gaia Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd.
