So paraffin / carnauba can be easily smeared or erased. However, the wax residue is the most in all the demoulding systems. When the demoulding wax is used for a long time to a certain number of times, it will form wax scale residues with varying degrees on the surface of FRP mold.
In order to get the ideal surface effect of FRP products, it is necessary to clean the wax scale. It's true that it can be polished, but it will inevitably cut off part of the thickness of the mold gel coat and reduce the durability of the FRP mold. Using specially designed mold cleaning agent, which is often called mold cleaning agent, can quickly remove the wax residue on the mold surface without damaging the rubber coating surface of the mold.
How to remove the wax scale on the FRP mold depends on the state of wax scale. Generally, according to the wax accumulation of the mold, the following two methods are used to remove the wax scale:
First, use mold cleaner, which is the most simple and effective method.
Toluene, methyl ethyl ketone or ethyl acetate can be used as paraffin remover.
Mold cleaning agent, are manufacturers have compounded good solvent. It should be noted that the cleaning agent shall not damage the rubber coating surface of the mold.
Second, when wax scale accumulates seriously, it needs to be polished and polished.
If the wax scale on the surface of the mold is seriously accumulated or becomes very hard, it is recommended to polish it with a rougher abrasive, and then wash it with a mild washing solution and cold water. Use mold cleaner again or several times to ensure all polyester residues are removed.
