In order to strengthen the construction of Library's literature resources, the library of Jinling College of Nanjing University adheres to its mission and organized more than 30 teachers and students from all departments to participate in the online book procurement of "2020 spring drawing gathering of national library distribution alliance" and "the 16th spring national local edition book fair of Hubei Sanxin culture" from March 30 to April 10.
The teachers and students participating in the activity are assigned user names by the library teachers, and log in to the purchase website for purchase. The online book information includes the book cover, book introduction, format, page number, price and other basic information. Some books are also equipped with synchronous e-books for trial reading, with more direct content and more flexible online purchase time. The teachers and students who took part in the purchase are enthusiastic, hardworking, checking and selecting repeatedly, and purchasing more than 6000 kinds of good books for the library.
Although the two purchases are carried out online, there are many kinds of books, no less than the on-site purchases in previous years. The purchase website displays hundreds of publishing houses' full varieties of books and hundreds of thousands of new book resources. In addition, the 16th spring national local edition book fair has set up a special library collection channel, which provides great convenience for the library to select the appropriate collection.
Readers are the service center of the library. To meet the readers' reading needs has always been the goal of library resource construction. In order to enrich the library collection and meet the needs of teachers and students in Jinling College of Nanjing University, the library will, as always, do a good job in organizing teachers and students to purchase books and strive to provide readers with better reading experience.
