On April 10, 2020, when cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the disinfection supply center of Gulou Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing University, with the support of the nursing department and the Party branch of the hospital, ushered in the first opening day of disinfection supply center.
All along, the disinfection and supply center is the silent supporter beside the hospital colleagues. The disinfection and supply center in everyone's eyes is mysterious and keeps a sense of distance. Today, with the help of theme open day, colleagues are invited to enter the disinfection and supply center with curiosity to see how the disinfection and supply center can turn pieces of contaminated equipment into sterile bags like magic. Before the activity, director Yu Ling and head nurse Su Jing of the disinfection and supply center delivered a carefully prepared invitation letter for you, which carefully marked the specific location, in case you could not find the "mysterious" place.
In the early morning of the activity, the eye-catching activity signs placed at both ends of the corridor, quietly waiting for everyone's presence with the teachers of the disinfection and supply center. A special signing ceremony was also prepared at the entrance of the Department.
8: At 30:00, the activity began on time. The first meeting was director Chen Hai of Andrology department, nurses Wu Jing, Zheng Shujuan and director sang Jianfeng of a-lacteal surgery department. What you are most interested in is how to clean the equipment. The head nurse first took you to the decontamination area and introduced the disposal process of the equipment while walking. After explaining the process, we realized that the original cleaning process of the equipment is so complex, and the cleaning requirements and methods of different equipment are different. Moreover, there are so many "tall" modern equipment hidden in the supply room. There are many on-site modern equipment The work of preface also brings us different feelings and new touches.
During the explanation, many directors were more interested in the process of foreign instruments, and head nurse Su Jing introduced them separately. From how to receive, count to handle the key points and difficulties are described.
After understanding the equipment decontamination process, we were led into the inspection packaging and sterilization area after leaving the decontamination area and changing clothes according to the requirements. This way of visiting also made visitors have a deep understanding of the division of the three areas.
In the process of equipment inspection and packaging, the directors couldn't help but applaud the staff's strict attitude towards the inspection and verification of the equipment at all levels, and the monitoring of sterilized articles also made them feel more secure about the safety of the equipment. Here, you know that the sterilization methods of different devices are different. The selection of high-temperature and low-temperature equipment is not simply determined by the urgency of the operation, but also closely related to the material of the device.
Finally, we visited the sterile storage and distribution area. We were always curious about how to get the equipment to the operating room. The original mystery exists in the internal elevator. There are also requirements for the storage of sterile articles, such as the temperature and humidity of the environment, and the storage time of different materials and packaging materials. After sterilization, the external packaging of the articles should also reduce the contact of the hands and fully cool down. This series of management details make visitors feel that: sterilization is no small matter, details are the most important!
At the end of the visit, there was still a lot of interest. During the exchange, everyone agreed that the disinfection supply center is responsible for the cleaning, disinfection, inspection, packaging, sterilization and supply of medical devices, which is an important support point for preventing and controlling hospital infection and ensuring the quality of medical care.
