In order to welcome the 100th anniversary of the school of life sciences of Nanjing University, gather together efforts, build image outside, show the style of the school, and refine the internal spirit, the school decided to open the collection of the school logo for the whole school's teachers, students and alumni.
01 introduction to the College
The College of life sciences of Nanjing University originated from the Department of agriculture of Jinling university founded in 1914 and the Department of biology of Nanjing Normal College founded in 1921. It was established in 1990. It is one of the oldest life science research and teaching institutions in China. It has one National Science (Biology) basic discipline talent training base, one national life science and technology talent training base, one national life science experiment teaching demonstration center, one National Key Laboratory of biomedical technology, one national genetic engineering mouse resource bank, one key laboratory of the Ministry of education, one engineering center of the Ministry of education and one engineering center of Jiangsu Province. Over the past hundred years, the school of life sciences of Nanjing University has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for the country, adhering to the scientific spirit of seeking truth from facts, rigorous and realistic academic style, and diligent and enterprising academic tradition.
02 work requirements

Work requirements:
1. The logo of the college shall contain the Chinese name and English name of the college, reflecting the philosophy and characteristics of the college. It has profound implication, unique creativity, strong sense of the times and strong artistic aesthetic value.
2. The design standard is rigorous, solemn and beautiful, simple and generous, which can be widely used in promotional materials, souvenirs, office supplies and other application occasions. It is the same as the school emblem of Nanjing University in selecting the shield shape and maintaining the design style similar to the school emblem.
3. There is no limit to the production form. The pattern design can be made by computer or hand-painted. Black and white manuscript and color manuscript must be submitted. The source files in PSD or AI format shall be submitted after the works are shortlisted.
4. The works shall be attached with detailed description of design concept, logo graphics, font, color, etc., and brief description of its conception and symbolic significance.
5. All works must be created by individuals or teams without any intellectual property disputes.
Submission requirements:
1. The contributors shall provide: black and white and color manuscript (providing standard color CMYK value) and application form (one for each, 3 in total), computer-generated and manual drawing of the finished effect drawing; the contributions of the works are all electronic version (jpg format is preferred, with a resolution of more than 300 dpi, and PSD or AI and other source documents shall be retained until the end of this solicitation activity).

2. There is no limit to the forms of contribution, either individual or collective. The subject of the submission email should be signed with "Nanjing University School of life sciences emblem Collection + name + year / alumni in study". Please keep a copy of it by yourself, and we will not return it.
3. The format of the attachment of the application form in the submission email is "Nanjing University School of life sciences emblem Collection + name (application form)". The format of the attachment of the work is "emblem Collection + name (work)".
4. Electronic submission to:

5. All the copyright, copyright and other intellectual property rights of the winning works belong to the college. The college has the right to modify, combine and apply the final winning works, and can integrate and use the winning works as needed.
6. Deadline: from the date of spontaneous solicitation to May 30, 2020.
7. After submission, it shall be deemed that the contributor (or the submission team) approves all contents of this announcement. The final interpretation right of this activity belongs to the school of life sciences, Nanjing University.
03 review and award
After the deadline of the collection, the Academy will organize experts to review the manuscripts, select some outstanding finalists, and display all the winning entries in the publicity media such as WeChat official account. The final plan is determined by the college.
There are 2 "excellent works awards" for each work, and each work is awarded 2000 yuan; "3" shortlisted works awards, and each work is awarded 1000 yuan; "5" special participation awards, and each work is awarded a souvenir. At the same time, the college issued the corresponding award certificate.
