1. History of discipline development
Past life and present life of Psychology Department of Nanjing University
Glorious history

In 1920, Nanjing Normal University established the first Department of psychology in China and established a psychology laboratory.
? in 1921, Nanjing Normal University changed to National Southeast University.
? in 1927, the National Southeast University was renamed as the National Central University. Mr. Pan Shu returned to the United States and was employed as an associate professor of psychology. Half a year later, he was promoted to a professor and head of the Department of psychology.
? in 1949, Central University was renamed Nanjing University and Pan Shu was appointed president.
Moving north to Beijing

In 1956, the Department of psychology of Nanjing University moved to Beijing, and merged with the Psychology Research Office of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to form the Institute of psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Pan Shu was the director of the Institute of psychology. So far, the Department of psychology of Nanjing University was suspended.
