Abstract: national work is an important work of the Communist Party of China in power and an important part of the united front of the Communist Party of China. There are many nationalities in Northwest China. In the era of revolutionary war and the period of socialist construction of the people's Republic of China, it is very important to deal with the ethnic relations in Northwest China for the victory of revolution and the smooth progress of socialist construction. During his work in Northwest China, Xi Zhongxun conscientiously implemented the national policy of the Party Central Committee. In the process of correctly dealing with national problems, he can see the methods, theories and practices of his national work, which provides useful reference for us to deal with the national relations.
