Research situation
Objective: To observe the effect of HADM combined with silica gel prosthesis in augmentation rhinoplasty, especially in the correction of nose tip deformity.
Methods: from September 2011 to December 2013, 21 female patients with rhinoplasty demand or tip deformity after rhinoplasty were selected to use HADM combined with silica gel prosthesis to improve the appearance of the nose.
Results: 21 patients were followed up 6 to 8 weeks after operation. The appearance of the skin was normal, and there was no secondary disease such as local infection and displacement and adverse biocompatibility. The average length of nose was prolonged (5.2 ± 1.5) mm and the depth of nose was increased (4.1 ± 1.8) mm, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).
