Differences with silica gel, expanded body and Medpor
1. silica gel:
Silica gel is a polymer silicide. Medical silica gel has the advantages of high and low temperature resistance, smooth surface, chemical stability, easy carving, safety, easy removal and low price.
But it will not grow together with human tissue, so it will be prone to displacement, glide, skew, penetration and other phenomena, and because of the material, it is also easy to light, envelope contracture and so on, these are the disadvantages of silica gel.
Compared with sulbactam, sulbactam has no deformation, absorption, displacement, anti contracture and light transmission. It is relatively difficult to take out, and the price will be relatively expensive.
2. expansion:
The expanded body is composed of the columnar structure of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The unique microporous ultrastructure allows cell infiltration and tissue growth, which makes it have the following characteristics: easy to bend, soft, not easy to move, not easy to contract, not transparent, etc.
The disadvantage is that if the prosthesis is is unfortunately infected or needs to be removed, it is more difficult to remove it than silica gel, but the experienced doctors can easily remove it, and the infection coefficient is not high.
Compared with sulplatin:
Turgor and silica gel are commonly used in the dorsal part of the nose, and the tip of the nose is not recommended.

3. Medpor:
Medpor, like sulplatin, is also an artificial bone, high-density porous polyethylene material, which is an early brand.
It is also a porous bionic design, with a unique uniform microporous structure, and the pore size is about 100-150 microns. The pore size of Supor can reach 200 μ m, which is larger than that of Medpor. It can also be understood that it is more compatible and stable with the organization.
Medpor material is hard and thick, and its flexibility is not as good as that of sulbactam.
In addition, when medpo is used for chin augmentation, it needs to be fixed with bone nails (not needed in the nose), which will affect the ultrasonic scalpel and X-ray in the later stage. Sulplatin does not need to be nailed.
