Oppo may be ready to launch its first smart watch with the oppo find x2 smartphone on March 6. A new leak on Weibo gave us an idea of the appearance of the upcoming smart watch.
From the image (translation) viewed by digital chat station, oppo watch seems to be inspired by the design of Apple watch. It has a curved screen with 3D glass protection, a square dial and a black silicone strap. This figure shows the watch setup page.
On the settings page, there is a multi-functional button option, which may mean that the physical buttons on the side can be fully customized according to the user's preferences. It also consists of battery options and password options. These imply the fact that watches may come with optimized battery selection and password verification for security. The authentication method is currently unknown, but oppo may include password, pin, and mode options.
The settings page also contains a further option that may display advanced settings for the user to modify and personalize the watch.
According to the leaked images, the device will come with silicon tape, but the company may introduce more watchband materials, such as metal and leather, at the time of release.
In an earlier photo released by Brian Shen, vice president of oppo, the oppo watch features a gold sports watch with a milky white silicone strap. Just like the current leaked image has two physical buttons on the side.
It is said that the company will launch the device with its flagship product, oppo find X2, on March 6. The company was scheduled to start the device on February 22 during MWC 2020. However, due to the cancellation of MWC, companies with a coronavirus outbreak had to reschedule.
