Apple began to use butterfly keyboards on MacBook in 2015, but many users believe that butterfly keyboards cause poor typing experience due to extreme keys, and butterfly keyboards often fail due to dust and chips. Although Apple improved the design of butterfly keyboard in 2018, making the key cap thinner and adding a layer of silicone film, it did not bring much improvement. In the latest release of Apple's MacBook Pro 16 inch, apple abandoned the butterfly keyboard and adopted the scissor foot keyboard, which won praise from many users.
