Mechanical property test
The mechanical characteristic test is that before the line is put into operation, the transformer maintenance personnel use special instruments to test the mechanical characteristics of the switch or switch, such as opening and closing time and speed, switch travel, and minimum action voltage. If the requirements are met, the corresponding maintenance test report shall be issued and submitted to the operation and dispatching department.

In Huanggang substation, students observe and study the new circuit breaker online monitor. Compared with the traditional test instrument which needs power cut operation, the advantage of this monitor is to realize non-contact measurement by using electromagnetic coupling technology, to complete the live detection of the mechanical characteristics of the circuit breaker (or disconnector), and to calculate the action time and stroke curve of the circuit breaker (or disconnector) by obtaining the transient data of the motor current.

Minor repair of new reactor
Oil immersed magnetically controlled shunt reactor, with the advantages of reliable structure, low noise, advanced performance, low loss and low cost, has been gradually introduced into various substations in recent years. At present, only two substations under the jurisdiction of transformer maintenance room have introduced oil immersed magnetically controlled shunt reactors (Zhang Guan transformer and Shi Guan transformer). This week, students were lucky to visit and study the small repair site of the new reactor in shiguanbian.

The maintenance method of oil immersed magnetically controlled shunt reactor can be compared with that of transformer. This minor repair is the first work order. The main work content is to replace the aging rubber pad of oil leakage sleeve, evaluate the oil quantity of oil conservator, replace the oil level gauge, install rain cover, replace the silica gel of moisture absorber, etc.

Acceptance site of Dongting substation
In April 2019, the 10kV switch cabinet of Dongting substation exploded. The cause of the accident was identified as water seepage and toxic gas emission in the underground cable trench, resulting in oxidation of the switch contacts in the switch cabinet. In order to prevent such accidents, new type C-GIS high-voltage switch cabinet shall be replaced at 10kV side of Dongting substation. SF6 gas insulation shall be adopted for the bus bar in the cabinet, vacuum insulation shall be adopted for the switch, and the sealing level shall be greatly improved to prevent the moisture and toxic gas in the cable trench from entering the cabinet.
