[E-line mapping] keep pace with the world's high-end mapping
——In July 2015, Qian Jun was introduced in an exclusive interview of E-line map and information, "Qian Jun: the construction of reading guide library is an important connotation of University Library". In 1990, he graduated from the Department of Library Science of Nanjing University (now the school of information management), Ph.D. and Research Librarian. At present, he is the librarian of Nanjing University of Posts and telecommunications, the deputy director of Book Review Committee of China Library Association, the deputy director of modern technology committee of Jiangsu University graphics Working Committee, and the member of reading and user committee of Jiangsu Library Association. He has long been committed to the research and practice of book collection, book review, reading promotion, etc., and his achievements have won the third prize of outstanding achievements in philosophy and social sciences of Jiangsu Province. Shulinyi, the campus reading promotion publication edited by the chief editor, has been rated as "top ten internal newspapers of reading promotion of Chinese Library" by China Library Society. In recent years, he has been invited to make a special report on reading promotion in many domestic colleges and universities, actively advocated research and exploration such as "Scholarly Campus Construction", "reading promotion and talent training", "Reading Promotion normalization", etc., and proposed "differentiated reading promotion planning" and other viewpoints, which attracted the attention and praise of peers in the industry.
The following text is excerpted from the interview "Qian Jun: the construction of reading guide library is an important connotation of University Library":
E-line map: curator Qian, the combination of Library Journal and activities is very creative and novel. Please talk about the planning of activities with some typical activities. Qian Jun: I think planning is the process of coordinating and allocating human resources, documents, organizations, systems and other resources for the activities. To achieve this, the most important one is to adopt the Internet thinking mode different from the traditional industrialization or planned economy thinking. Although we have entered the era of Internet, many people's thinking still stays in the era of planned economy and industrial economy, that is to do things step by step. So what is Internet thinking like? The first is to realize the thought of personalized service, and provide services for different needs of different readers. Even though one-to-one services cannot be realized at present, services must be provided according to different needs, and then gradually move towards personalized services. The activities we plan are highly consistent with such development direction. The second is to adhere to the public welfare and platform orientation, that is, the planning of our reading promotion activities is different from that of publishing houses and booksellers. A lot of library services are free. What are the benefits? It's the reader's social rather than economic benefits. So how to use Internet thinking to plan reading promotion activities? I have summed up four paths. First, from the hungry planning to the package planning. The so-called hunger planning is to recommend only a limited number of books to the reader, so that he will be willing to read them carefully. Package planning is to recommend a special series of books according to the needs of specific readers, one of which is suitable. Compared with the hungry plan, the package plan is a step forward to the personalized service, and the two should be combined organically. The second is to move from temporary planning to normal planning. Grasp a sudden temporary hot spot, such as Mo Yan's winning the Nobel Prize to plan reading promotion, and then move from the hot spot to the normal type, such as continuing to carry out the reading promotion of Nobel Prize winning works and writers, and then continuing to carry out the classic reading promotion, etc., and try to fully expand from a hot spot, rather than changing unrelated hot spots at any time. Three is from independent planning to linkage planning. In the past, a lot of planning was carried out by one department of our library, but certainly not by one department when carrying out activities. Especially for some small schools and libraries, it is more necessary to cooperate with relevant units, departments, even learning societies and associations, with the help of necessary external forces and resources, which is linkage type. For example, a librarian's book review can't rely on one library alone. It must rely on the Chinese Library Society to operate several libraries together, that is, to take the road of win-win cooperation. Now is the Internet age, it is impossible for one person to block the world alone. Fourth, we should move from one-way planning to interactive planning. Like our education, many of our previous activities are indoctrinated. The recommended bibliography is a one-way planning, while the interactive planning is to let the audience participate in the planning and recommend reading to each other. The library is only responsible for providing a platform for and checking the interactive recommendation. Of course, one-way planning is not no longer needed, but can not stay in one-way planning. All in all, I think the reading promotion of colleges and universities varies according to their own conditions. Different types of colleges and universities must find their own position, plan and carry out reading promotion activities according to their own characteristics. In each region, some large university libraries, especially the comprehensive university library, while doing a good job of reading promotion in the University, should try to go out of the campus with an open mind and integrate into the national reading, so as to really play a leading role in the region. For small-scale school libraries, such as those in local colleges, universities of science and technology, and vocational colleges that have some influence in a certain area and industry, we should make our own unique characteristics as much as possible, establish journals, open up reading sharing space, carry out a series of reading promotion activities, etc., so as to create a general atmosphere and environment of book fragrance within the campus Environment.
