Novel coronavirus pneumonia is a key part of the MSW program. The conference aims to implement the spirit of the Ministry of education's notice on strengthening the management of students' practical training during the period of epidemic prevention and control of new coronavirus pneumonia. It introduces the idea of the MSW Internship Program (Draft), and invites the supervisors, teachers and students to share their thoughts and questions and suggestions, so as to make scientific and reasonable adjustment of the internship program.
At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Peng Huamin, director of MSW Education Center, said that the education center deeply studied the spirit of the guiding opinions on flexible professional practice of master of social work (MSW) during the epidemic period issued by the National Steering Committee for social work degree education and teaching on April 20, and quickly responded to and issued the master of social work internship Party of Nanjing University during the epidemic period 2020 Case (first draft), highlighting the participation of teachers and students in the anti epidemic service in the documents of MSW Education Instruction Committee as the focus of this internship, hoping that teachers and students can communicate and exchange, and put forward suggestions for the improvement of the new internship program. Then, Mr. Tian Rong introduced the practice plan in detail from four modules: professional practice mode, professional practice supervision and management, professional practice institutions and projects, professional practice assessment and credits.
Professional practice will take the form of Online + offline, epidemic prevention and control + social work. In terms of epidemic prevention and control, students' participation in online or offline epidemic prevention and control professional service projects, topics and voluntary service activities led by teachers, or active participation in online or offline epidemic prevention and control professional service and voluntary service activities organized by local government departments, enterprises and institutions, social organizations, communities and other organizations can be regarded as professional practice. In the field of social work, students' participation in professional practice, voluntary service and research related to the field of social work can also be regarded as professional practice. After the students communicate with the school supervisor, each student needs to determine the specific individual internship plan, and submit the plan to the master of Social Work Education Center for review.
MSW professional practice
Professional practice supervision is carried out in the form of combination of school instructor supervision and organization supervision, and individual supervision and group supervision. The way of practice needs to be supervised by the school teachers according to the teaching plan of practice, with complete practice records and reports. In addition, the program emphasizes that students should adhere to the social work ethics during the internship, and abide by the principles of confidentiality, informed consent, etc.
Professional practice institutions and projects
In terms of professional internship institutions and projects, MSW Education Center will publish the list of internship institutions and social work practice / research projects during the epidemic period in batches according to students' own situation and internship program. After communicating with the tutor, the intern shall work out his own internship plan in combination with his own interests and actual situation, which shall be approved by the tutor and submitted to the master of Social Work Education Center for review.
Professional practice assessment and credits
In terms of professional practice assessment and credits, the student's practice content and duration shall be certified by the service organization or the teacher in charge of the scientific research / practice project participated in, and recognized by the master of social work education center. According to the relevant provisions of the National Steering Committee for social work degree education and teaching, MSW education center of Nanjing University requires students to achieve the specified time and complete the relevant requirements of practice through centralized practice and course practice, so as to obtain corresponding practice credits.
After the introduction of the internship program, teachers and students shared their opinions and suggestions according to the program. Students expressed their hope to carry out the internship as soon as possible, support institutional services and the combination of tutor projects and other ideas. Each teacher proposed that the internship time can have certain flexibility, make a good one-to-one arrangement for each student and other suggestions. They expressed that they should stand in the student's position, root in According to the students' situation and willingness to modify and improve the internship program, the present teachers reached an agreement on this.
Finally, the teachers of the college said that during the May 1st period, they would sort out the internship resources such as internship institutions and projects, open them to students for selection, communicate with their own students preliminarily, and draw up the internship plan one-on-one. After May 1, on the basis of ensuring the physical and mental safety of students, MSW Education Center, institutional supervision and school supervision will guide students to carry out the internship work in an orderly manner and complete the internship task scientifically.
