About the speaker
Zhou Xian, Professor of the school of art, Nanjing University, Dean of the Advanced Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, and special professor of "Changjiang Scholars" of the Ministry of education. Vice president of the Chinese aesthetic society, vice president of the Chinese literary theory society and vice president of the Chinese and foreign literary theory society. The main academic interests are focused on art theory, aesthetics, literature theory and visual culture research. He is the author of theory travel among cultures (Yilin press 2017), critique of Aesthetic Modernity (Commercial Press 2005), the turn of visual culture (Peking University Press 2008), what is aesthetics (Peking University Press 2015), etc.
