Release film is mainly used for release effect, generally used in die-cutting processing, gluing, waterproof material isolation, silica gel products, etc. Today, I'd like to talk with you about how to repair the broken OCA optical adhesive film for the release film.
If the release film is damaged, the release film is easy to be damaged during use and preservation. If the release film is damaged during use, temporary repair method and permanent repair method can be used.
Temporary repair methods include water repair method and paper repair method:
Water mending method: clean the damaged part, cut a slightly larger release film without holes than the damaged part, dip it in water and stick it on the holes, drain the air between the two films, and press flat.
Paper filling method: the special release film of OCA is slightly damaged, dip paper in water and stick it on the damaged place while it is wet. Generally, it can be used for about 10 days.
Permanent repair method: the damaged release film after shed removal shall be permanently repaired. The thick release film is damaged, and the same release film can be used to cover the upper valve surface, and the thin thread is used to close the joint. It can also clean the damaged part, cover the hole with a slightly larger release film, cover with 2-3 layers of newspaper, iron gently along the interface with an electric iron, and the two films will stick together after being pasted and cooled by heat. This method is called hot patching.
In addition, there is glue mending method. Wash the hole around, dip the special glue into the brush and apply it. After 3-5rain (minutes), take a release film with the same texture and stick it on it. When the glue is dry, it can be firmly adhered. Hot patching method and glue patching method have good film patching effect. The stitching method is not only air leakage, but also easy to open. It is better not to use the special release film for OCA optical adhesive coating, which is not thicker in quality.
